| Restoration is underway!! The local lumber yard, R.S. Monger & Sons is restoring the badly rundown & neglected office & depot. Workers are currently restoring the outside brick veneer and a closer look will show the new copper flashing over the offset of the main entrance. The lumber yard plans to put a showroom on the first floor and offices in the second floor. They are also talking about putting a museum in the depot part dedicated to railroading. It was a good day to hear and see this news as a part of railroad history will be preserved and put to use. |
